A Catholic funeral service mass with christian burial will be celebrated for JESUS AYALA MORENO, age 81 of Lamesa, Texas at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 11, 2014 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Joseph Kurumbel officiating. Burial will follow to Lamesa Memorial Park cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, Texas.
Rosary services will be at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
Jesus passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at his home in Lamesa, Texas. He was born on April 9, 1933 in Obayos Coahuila, Mexico. Jesus married Maria Nava on October 6, 1956.
Jesus was a farmer until his retirement. He was a great man and had many friends. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jesus is survived by his wife, Maria Ayala of Lamesa, Texas; his daughters, Juana Sanchez and Francisco of O'Donnell, Texas, Aurora Ayala and Noe of Seagraves, Texas, Lupe Riojas and Carlos of Lamesa, Texas, Martha Ayala of Lamesa, Texas; his sons, Jesus Ayala, Jr. and Louie of Seagraves, Texas, Salvador Ayala and Janie of Lamesa, Texas, Aurelio Ayala of Round Rock, Texas, Roberto Ayala and Shonda of Snyder, Texas; his nephew, Aaron Martinez and Donna of San Antonio, Texas; twenty-four grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren.
