A Catholic funeral mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Jesse G. Rodriguez, age 77 of Lamesa, Texas, at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Celebrant Father Sylvester Dsouza officiating. The burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the trusted care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
The viewing and visitation will be held at Gonzales Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, May 6, 20206, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary Prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
Jesse passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, May 4, 2026, in Lamesa, TX. He was born on April 4, 1949, in Lamesa, TX. Jesse married Esmeralda Moreno on January 21, 2017, in Lamesa, TX.
Jesse was preceded in death his parents, Christobal Rodriguez, Sr., and Ysabel Rodriguez; his son, Jimmy Rodriguez; his brother, Chris Rodriguez.
Jesse is survived by his wife, Esmeralda Rodriguez of Lamesa, TX.; his daughter, Debra Rodriguez of Austin, TX.; his son, Jeffrey Rodriquez, Sr. of Lamesa, TX.; his grand-daughter, Jade Rodriquez of Austin, TX., his grandsons, James Rodriquez of San Antonio, TX., Justin Arismendez of Austin, TX., Jeffrey Rodriguez, Jr. of Lubbock, TX., his 3 great-grandchildren, Jovani Jessie Rodriguez, Melina Jhade Rodriguez, and Jailyn Dale Rodriguez; his stepson, Enrique Moreno, Jr. of Lamesa, TX., and his stepdaughter, Katie Cuellar of Lamesa, TX., his step-daughter-in-law, Gloria Moreno of Lamesa, TX., his step grand-daughters, Ragan Moreno of Lamesa, TX., Clariss Moreno of Lubbock, TX., Kassidy Gomez of Lamesa, TX., his step grand-sons, Enrique Moreno III of Lamesa, TX., David Gomez of Lamesa, TX.
