Funeral services to celebrate the life of Jesse B. Hernandez age 56 of Lamesa, TX. will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Iboryo Iglesias officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the trusted care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
The viewing will be held at Gonzales Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Jesse passed away at home with his family on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, in Lubbock, TX. He was born on March 26, 1969, in Athens, TX.
Jesse was preceded in death by his father, Lobano Hernandez, Jr., and his mother, Mary Lou Hernandez; his daughter, Brittany Hernandez; his paternal grandparents, Lobano Hernandez, Sr. and Julie Hernandez; his maternal grandparents, Pedro Barrioz, Sr. and Amelia Barrioz; his aunt, Jane Garza; his uncles, Robert Hernandez, and Raymond Barrioz.
Jesse was a great dad, grandpa, brother, and uncle. He loved spending time with is family and grandbabies. His favorite things to do were to drink cold ones with his family and loved making sure his knives were sharpened. Jesse will be greatly missed by all his friends and family.
Jesse is survived by his loving family, his sons, Jesse Hernandez, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Anastasia Hernandez, and Malachi Hernandez, all of Lubbock, TX.; his daughter, Emily Garza of Lamesa, TX.; his twin grandchildren, Melody Hernandez, and Jay’vien Hernandez of Lubbock, TX.; his brothers, David Hernandez, and Pete Hernandez, both of Lamesa, TX.; numerous relatives and friends.
