Funeral services to celebrate the life of Janie G. Rodriquez Jackson age 75 of Lamesa, TX. will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel with Evangelist Christina Gonzales officiating. Burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the trusted care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
The viewing will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025, and Friday, February 28, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., with Inspirational Services starting at 7:00 p.m.
Janie passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her home in Lamesa, TX. on Thursday, February 20, 2025. He was born on July 7, 1949, in Lamesa, TX. She was married Corndus Jackson, Jr.
Janie was preceded in death by her children, Jose Luis Rodriquez, Jose Manuel Rodriquez, and Monica Linda Rodriquez; parents, Leon and Carmen Garcia; sisters, Mary, Connie, and Gloria. All rejoicing being reunited.
Janie enjoyed sitting outside on her porch and watching the cars pass by, waving “hello” at her neighbors. Janie loved it when all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren would visit her,
Janie is survived by her husband, Corndus Jackson, Jr. of Lamesa, TX.; her daughters, Erica Rodriquez, and Manuela Rodriquez (Chris Vargas), all of Lamesa, TX.; her son, Joseph Leon Rodriquez of Lamesa, TX., and her step-son, Trey Jackson of Lamesa, TX.; her brother, Delmiro “Miro” (Adela) Garcia of Eagle Pass, TX.; her sister, Dora Quintero of Big Spring, TX.; and her very favorite niece, Le Ette Garcia of Brownwood, TX.; her son-in-iaw, Julio Cortez of Lamesa, TX.;13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives love ones, and friends.
