A Memorial service for Jacob Ybanez, age 25 of Lamesa, Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the Family Harvest Church located at 512 North 2nd Street in Lamesa with Pastor Joe Rivas officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
Jacob passed away on October 13, 2016 in Lamesa. He was born on July 4, 1991 in Big Spring, Texas.
Jacob was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ruben Ortiz, Sr.; his uncles, Martin Ortiz and Ronnie Ortiz, Sr.
Jacob loved his dog and friends. He enjoyed babysitting, working outside, fast food, wrote poetry and enjoyed social media.
Jacob is survived by his loving family, his parents, Candy and Johnny Garza of Lamesa, Texas; his father, David Ybanez, Sr. of Lubbock, Texas; his brother David Ybanez, Jr. of Lamesa, Texas; his siter, Samantha Garza and Phillip of Lamesa, Texas; his nieces, Alexandria Sifuentes of Lamesa, Texas; his grandmother, Nancy Ortiz of Lamesa, Texas; his grandparents, Rudolfo and Mary Ybanez of Lamesa, Texas; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends.
