A Catholic funeral mass service of Christian burial for Jacob Ryan Hernandez age 19 of Aurora, Colorado will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 3, 2025, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Chacko Thadathil officiating. Burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the trusted care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
The visitation will be held at Gonzales Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Thursday, January 2, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary prayer service on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
Jacob passed on Friday, December 20, 2024, in Aurora, Colorado. He was born on April 18, 2005, in Lubbock, TX.
Jacob was preceded in death by his grandfather Manuel Lopez, Sr., and his uncle Wesley Lopez
Jacob is survived by his daughter, Genesis Ryan Hernandez of Lamesa, TX.; his mother, Ashley Lopez, and his stepfather, Derek Gonzales of Aurora, Colorado; his father, Jacob Hernandez, and his stepmother, Haley Hernandez of Lubbock, TX.; brothers, Evan Hernandez and sister-in-law Sahara Rowe of Aurora, Colorado, and Julian Hernandez of Lubbock, TX.; sisters, Elyza Hernandez, and Mariyah Hernandez, both of Lamesa, TX., and Analise Hernandez of Lubbock, TX.; grandparents, Manuel and Isabel Lopez; grandmother Lydia Carbajal of Lubbock, TX.;uncles, Michael Lopez and aunt Sara Lopez, and Joe Lopez and aunt Lisa Lopez, all of Lamesa, TX; uncle Steven Diaz of Lubbock, TX.;grandfather, Patrick Hernandez of Lamesa, TX.; several relatives and friends.
