A Catholic funeral mass will be celebrated for Isidra C. Vasquez, age 81 of Lamesa, Texas is set for 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 20, 2015 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Joseph Kurumbel officiating. Burial will follow to Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, Texas.
A Rosary was set for 5:00 p.m. on Sunday at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
Isidra passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at her home in Lamesa, Texas. She was born on May 15, 1934 in Runge, Texas. Isidra married Faustino Vasquez in 1951 in Runge, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Faustino Vasquez, Sr.; her daughters, Mary Jane Sanchez, Magdalena Vasquez; her sons, Ray Vasquez, Jesse Vasquez.
Isidra was a homemaker, a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, a member of Los Cursillistas and a member of Las Guadalupanas.
Isidra is survived by her family, her sons, Faustino Vasquez, Jr., Vicente Vasquez and wife, Juana Vasquez, Joe Vasquez and wife, Leticia Vasquez, all of Lamesa, Texas, Frank Vasquez of Abilene, Texas, Ruperto Vasquez and wife, Christy Vasquez of Austin, Texas; her daughters, Gloria Garcia and family of Bernard, Texas, Rosa Perez and husband, Ignacio Perez of Lamesa, Texas, Josie Caudillo and husband, Juan Caudillo of San Angelo, Texas; her sister, Juanita Vasquez of Lamesa, Texas; 31 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren.
