ISABELL (CHAVELO) ESPINOSA's Obituary
A Catholic funeral mass will be celebrated for Isabell (Chavelo) Espinosa age 76 of Lamesa, TX., at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, Sept 12, 2023, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Chacko Thadathil officiating. Burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
Viewing will be held at Gonzales Funeral Home on Sunday, September 10, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., and Monday, September 11, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary Prayer service at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel starting at 7:00 p.m.
Chavelo passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023, in Houston, TX. He was born June 2, 1947, in Eden, TX. Chavelo married Josephine Guerrero on August 10, 1968, in Lamesa, TX.
Chavelo was preceded in death by his daughter, Pearl Espinosa, and son, Israel Espinosa; his father, Antonio Espinosa and mother, Marie Alice Sanchez; his grandparents, Erieno and Viviana Sanchez; his sister, Margie Espinosa; his brother, Eddie Espinosa;
Chavelo worked 40 years with the Lamesa Cotton Oil Mill.
Chavelo is survived by his wife, Josephine Espinosa of Lamesa, TX.; his sons, Antonio Espinosa of Lamesa, TX., Daniel Espinosa of Honolulu, Hawaii, Frank Espinosa of Andrews, TX., Jimmy Espinosa of Lamesa, TX., and Paul Espinosa of Lamesa, TX.; grandchildren, Paul Espinosa, Jr., Josh Espinosa, Noel Espinosa, Anthony Contreras, Emily Espinosa, and Samantha Torres; great-grandchildren, RJ Luera, Asher Espinosa, Myranda Luera, Amina Espinosa, Violet Espinosa, Dominic Torres, Catalina Torres, Elijah Torres; his sister, Jesusa Tijerina of Lubbock, TX; several relatives.
