A Catholic funeral mass service to celebrate Helen Sanchez age 77 of Lamesa, TX., will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Fr. Chacko Thadathil officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
Viewing and visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
Helen passed away surrounded by her loving family at home on Monday, November 7, 2022. She was born on May 13, 1945 in Lamesa, TX. Helen married Pablo G. Sanchez on October 6, 1972 in San Antonio, TX.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pablo G. Sanchez on July 11, 2022; her parents, Carlos Reyes and Virginia Reyes; her brother, Juan Reyes; his sisters, Rosa Sorola, Julia Sanchez, Maria De Jesus Duran, Marie Ester Garcia, Lupe Moreno, Jimmie Ramirez, San Juana Garcia, ; her great-grand-daughter, Rae’Lynn Danielle Sanchez.
Helen was an active member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church.
Helen is survived by her children, her daughters, Janie Sanchez, Estella Nelson and husband Robin Nelson, her sons, Paul Sanchez, Jr., and wife Becky Sanchez, and Carlos Sanchez, all are from Lamesa, TX.; her sister, Alta Gracia Moreno of McAllen, TX.; 8 grandchildren, 14 grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
