GUADALUPE (WALLY) RAMOS's Obituary
A Catholic Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Guadalupe (Wally) Ramos age 65 of Tahoka, TX., at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, June 28, 2024, at St. Pius X Catholic Church located at 3021 County Road P in O’Donnell, TX., with Fr. Sylvester Dsouza officiating. The burial committal will follow at the O’Donnell Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the trusted care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
The visitation and viewing will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Gonzales Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary prayer service starting at 7 p.m.
Guadalupe passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, June 24,2024, in Lubbock, TX. He was born on October 13, 1958, in O’Donnell, TX. Guadalupe married Julia Benavidez on June 17, 1985, in O’Donnell, TX.
Guadalupe is preceded in death by his father, Victor Ramos and his mother, Esther Ramos.
Guadalupe was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved spending time with kids and grandkids. He loved watching the Dallas Cowboys, loved fishing, hunting, and dancing.
Wally is survived by his wife, Julia Ramos of Tahoka, TX.; his son, Patrick Olvera and his daughter-in-law Eloisa Olvera of Temple, TX.; his daughters, Sinn Kerr-Olvera of Nevada, Sabrina Stout and his son-in-law, Randy Stout of Lamesa, TX., and Xenia Ramos and fiancé Marcos Saldana of Tahoka, TX.; his sisters, Rosalinda Soto (David) of Midland, TX., Irma Gonzales (Jesse) of Lamesa, TX., Mirta Serna (Rogelio) of Seguin, TX., and Elvia Cortez (Joe) of Stanton, TX.; his brothers, Victor Ramos, Jr.(Janie) of Brownfield, TX., and Gilbert Ramos (Amy) of Synder, TX.;16 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, Sol Stout; numerous nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
