Guadalupe Ramirez's Obituary
A Catholic funeral service mass will be celebrated for Guadalupe Ramirez, age 91 of Lamesa, Texas at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Joseph Kurumbel officiating. Burial will follow at Dawson County Cemetery under the direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, Texas. A Rosary service was set for 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 13, 2013 at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
Mrs. Ramirez passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. Guadalupe was born on May 31, 1922 in Martindale, Texas. She loved knitting, crocheting and making quilts and she also enjoyed gardening.
Guadalupe is preceded in death by her parents, Crescencio and Fidela Salazar; Andres Ramirez, Candelario Medrano; brothers, Francisco Salazar and Elejo Salazar; grand-daughter, Byanka Hernandez; great-grandson, Nathan Ramirez.
She is survived by her sons, Alfredo Ramirez of Idalou, Texas, Cressencio Ramirez of San Diego, California, Andres Ramirez, Jr. of Lubbock, Texas, Roberto Medrano of Lubbock, Texas; her daughter, Diana Hernandez of Midland, Texas; her brothers, Pedro Salazar of Lamesa, Texas, Ricardo Salazar of Lamesa, Texas, Erasmo Salazar of Lubbock, Texas, Jesus Salazar of Glendale, Arizona; her sisters, Ofelia Gonzales of Woodrow, Texas, Martina Guerra of Ohio, Odilia Luna of Lamesa, Texas; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
