Dear Ector and Marie,

We were so saddened to hear of the death of your mother, Lupita. We remember her as a kind, gentle, and loving soul. You could feel the presence of Christ within her whenever you were around her. Tears sprang to our eyes when we read her obituary detailing the good she accomplished in the world. Your hearts must be breaking. To lose a fine Mother such as she leaves the world a little less bright, doesn't it?

Ector, we have always admired your devotion to the family you created with Marie. No doubt, your parents contributed to the wonderful man you are today. We know you will carry on the Christianlike traits instilled within you for we have witnessed them these many decades.

I feel blessed that I got to meet and get to know my adopted little Abuela. She was a bright light in my days and I instantly fell in love with her. I am so happy that I got to sit with her a few days before her passing and told her I love her, and best of all hear her say it to me. Thank you for sharing her with me. I will always carry her in my heart!.

My sincere condolences to the Lopez family. Wishing you peace, comfort, courage, and lots of love at this time of sorrow. Mrs. Lopez was a kind and loving lady. Memories of her include how she was such an elegant host when several high school teenagers gathered at their farm on weekends in the 60's. She and my Mom Margarita Gusman were good friends for decades. RIP Mrs. Lopez.
