It's been 7 years, Miss Gracie, and your senseless death stays with me. Your picture still hangs on my office wall. You seemed to be doing everything right, but he still took your life. Today I happen to drive by your old home on Orange Street where I fist met you, and it all came back. I hope your family knows that you did not pass in vain and your passing changed my life. For the last 7 years I have fought to protect others who were in your similar situation. And for her family, please know that in my times of challenge and frustration, Gracie has been there, looking over my shoulder to guide me and keep me going. I only met you briefly, Miss Gracie, but you made a life-long impact on me. I'm so sorry we couldn't save you from him. I truly hope that you are in peace, and I thank you for those times you have helped me to save another woman's life.

First I'm giving all of my condolences to this beautiful persons family. "Grace Jones" is what I called her. I met Gracie at Walmart when I was 18. She was my supervisor in cosmetics. Whenever I had a problem she would always tell me to pray about it, give it to god. And then she'd try and give her best personal advice. I loved her like a sister. She will and is truly missed.

I met Gracie 16 years ago I was 11 and she lived across the street from me. She came across asking me who I was I told her my name and she said oh ok your not the person I thought you were. She instantly became my friend and she just met me. She was always happy and smiling. She saw the good in everyone and she was very forgiving. We stayed close even became family by marriage until she moved to Arlington in 2001 I think. We lost touch but we started talking again a year ago I felt like I was getting my friend back then this happen. Gracie will always be missed and loved she was a great person everyone who ever met Gracie loved her. She never met a person she didn't have a impact on. She will be greatly missed.

Gracie always smiled and laughed no matter what she was feeling. Normally people have to "find" nice things to say about someone when they pass but when it comes to Gracie, there are ONLY nice things to say about her; those are very hard shoes to fill. I remember dancing in the bathroom at work and I'd be in there "breaking it down" and she'd be right there in the mirror talking about how crazy I am. I can hear her laughing at me now man I really hate what happened to her and I wish for the sake of her beautiful soul that I could change things. She loved her children sooooooooooo much man she has shown me so many pictures of them every chance she got... she didn't deserve to be brutally taken from this world that she caused so much happiness in. She is going to be missed, forever loved, and forever cherished. Farewell my beautiful Angel. Rest in Peace, Love, and Poetry. 💞 I wish her family a peaceful healing. Cry, kick something, throw something, squeeze a hand, scream, remember Gracie... smile... and do it all over again until you can think of her and just smile... that emptiness will never fade it'll tuck itself away into the pits of your acceptance. What can I say about Gracie that hasn't already been said I met her 8yrs ago completely blew me away by the type of person she was just always positive always smiling did anything for anyone just truly amazing and she will be terribly missed
