Funeral services for Gloria Rodriguez Jimenez age 81 of Lamesa, TX., will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Elias Morales officiating. Burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held at Gonzales Funeral Home on Sunday, November 26, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Monday, November 27, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
Gloria passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her home in Lamesa, TX. on Thursday, November 23, 2023. She was born on December 3, 1941, in Lamesa, TX. Gloria married Adolfo (Rudy) Jimenez on July 14, 1959.
Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Adolfo (Rudy) Jimenez; sons, Trinidad Jimenez, and John Paul Jimenez; father, Joe S. Rodriguez; mother, Eva Hipolito and dad, Felix Hipolito; sisters, Josie Solis and Dora Jimenez; 1 grandson and 1 great-grand-daughter; son-in-law, Rudy Alvarado.
Gloria is survived by her family, her daughters, Josie Vera (Gilbert) of Austin, TX., Yolanda Cortez of Lamesa, TX., Gloria Salinas (Paul) of Lamesa, TX., Linda Alvarado of Hale Center, TX., Noemi Jimenez of Lamesa, TX., Susan Atahlia Thompson of Enid, Oklahoma, Natalie Delgado (Joseph) of Washington D.C.; her sons, Felix Jimenez (Lisa) of Harlingen, TX., Rudy Jimenez (Ester) of Lamesa, TX., Gabino Jimenez (Jason) of New Braunfels, TX., Jesus Jimenez of Lamesa, TX., Daniel Jimenez of Lamesa, TX.; 39 grandchildren, 74 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren; numerous relatives and friends.
Honoring Gloria Rodriguez Jimenez as her pallbearer are, Felix Jimenez, Rudy Jimenez, Jr., Daniel Jimenez, Adolfo Alvarado, Alvin Alvarado, Gabriel Gonzalez.
