Gloria Jean Harris' Obituary
Funeral services for Gloria Jean Harris, age 66 of Lamesa, Texas were held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 30, 2014 at Mount Olive Baptist Church with Pastor Cora Brown officiating, along with Minister Jerry Gardner, conductor. Burial followed to Dawson County Cemetery under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, Texas.
Gloria entered into the world on February 8, 1948 to Dr. Sam and Nellie Harris. She passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2014 at her residence in Lamesa. She attended Blackshear High School and was employed by Prophech for over 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Sam and Nellie Harris; one sister, Barbara Ann Haris; her granddaughter, Alexis Williams.
Gloria leaves to cherish her loving memories, her son, Julius Hill (Corina Dominguez) of Lamesa, TX.; her daughter, Tabitha Williams of Lamesa, TX.; her brother, Jerry Gardner of Lamesa, TX.; her aunt, Jessie Mae Jackson of Lamesa, TX.; her god-daughter, Sheryl Bustos of Lubbock, TX.; her god-sons, Joseph Minjarez and Dwight Mason, both of Lamesa, TX.; special friend, Dean Hampton; seven grandchildren, Mercedes Williams, Buddy Williams, Selah Hill, Julius Hill, Jr., Jullisa Hill and Jadven Hensley, all of Lamesa, TX. and also, Jada Sherman of Lubbock, TX.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
