Funeral services for George L. Perez age 84 of Big Spring, TX. will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at the Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Eric Gutierrez officiating. The burial will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the trusted care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
The viewing and visitation will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024, and Tuesday, April 16, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home.
George passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Odessa Regional Medical Center in Odessa, TX. He was born on February 24, 1940, in Kenedy, TX.
George was preceded in death by his father and mother, Viviano and Eloisa Perez; his five brothers, Ruben Perez, Jose Perez, Willie Perez, Ricardo Perez, and Enrique Perez; his four sisters, Maria Guzman, Genoveva Perez, Hermenia Rodriguez, and Amelia Rivera; his grand-daughter, Monika Simone Palmeri.
George moved to Lamesa, TX. in the early 1960’s for work. He worked in many area fields, and also worked as a welder, mechanic, concrete-cement, electrical, and was considered an Entrepreneur “Jack of all Trades”. He met his current wife Hilda in 1980 and then in the year 2016 they moved to Big Spring, TX. to be with their daughter and grandchildren.
George is survived by his wife, Hilda Coronado of Big Spring, TX.; his sons, George Perez, Jr., Roland Perez, Michael Perez, all of San Antonio, TX., and Adrian Perez of Lubbock, TX.; his daughters, Andreana Perez of San Antonio, TX., and Esther Hilario of Big Spring, TX.; 23 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; numerous relatives and friends.
