GASPAR QUINTANILLA's Obituary
Funeral services for Gaspar Quintanilla age 53 of Lamesa, TX. will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 30, 2023, at the Friendship Baptist Church with Pastor Dennis Adams officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
The viewing will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
Gaspar passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2023, in Lubbock, TX. He was born June 12, 1970, in Burlington, Colorado. Gaspar married Lisa Garza on April 11, 1992, in Lamesa, TX.
Gaspar is preceded in death by his father, Hilario Quintanilla; his grandparents, Tomas and Felicitas Quintanilla.
Gaspar worked hard most of his life in the oil industry as a Roustabout. His Pride-and-Joy, of course, were his three children. Everyone knew no matter the conversation he included them with a big smile. He enjoyed cooking BBQ with family as family gatherings were important to him. His favorite hobbies as we all know, riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and watching the Dallas Cowboys.
Gaspar is survived by his daughters, Megan (Randy) Rhoades of Lamesa, TX., and Renae (Ryan) Garza of Lubbock, TX.; his son, Zakari Quintanilla of Lubbock, TX.; his granddaughters, Allyson, Brinley, and Brooks Rhoades of Lamesa, TX.; his grandsons, Noah, and Jaxon Garza of Lubbock, TX.; brothers, Gilbert (Rosi) Montoya. Jr. Montoya, all of Lubbock, TX., and Larry (Hannah) Quintanilla of Lamesa, TX.; sisters, Olivia Nerios, Janie Herrera, both of Lubbock, TX., Nelda, Norma, Naomi, and Nancy (late husband, Paul) Spraberry, all of Lamesa, TX.; his mother, Jackie Montoya of Lubbock, TX.; numerous relatives and friends.
