FRANCISCA GONZALES's Obituary
Arrangements to celebrate a Catholic funeral mass for Francisca Gonzales, age 94 of Lamesa, Texas will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2017 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Jose Kurumbel officiating and assisted by Deacon Daniel Valenzuela. Interment will follow to Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, Texas.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday and Thursday at Gonzales Funeral Home. A Rosary prayer service will be recited by Las Guadalupanas from St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
She passed away to be with her Lord on Monday February 27, 2017 in Big Spring, Texas. She was born on January 29, 1923 in Seguin, Texas. Francisca and her family moved to Lamesa in 1946.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luis Gonzales; her sons, Margarito Gonzales, Benancio Carisales; her daughter, Rafaela Soto; her parents; two sisters, Felicita Garcia, Christina Carisales; her brother, Pedro Ramos.
Francisca enjoyed sewing, making blankets, music and dancing. She was a dedicated "Cursillista". She also enjoyed her prayer meeting, she was involved in any type of church activity where she could help with. Francisca especially enjoyed being around her loving family.
Francisca is survived by her daughters and sons, Paula Valdez and Benny of Post, Texas, Lupe Gonzales and Olivia of Lamesa,Texas, Emiliano Gonzales, Sr. and Dalia of Lamesa, Texas, Maria Louisa Martinez and Johnny of Big Spring, Texas, Susie Lozano and Paul of Big Spring, Texas, Sylvia Cortez and Melba of Lubbock, Texas, Juana Gonzales of Odessa, Texas; 27 grandchildlren; 83 great-grandchildren; 86 great-great-grandchildren.
