Funeral services for Felicita Reyes Garcia of Lamesa, TX are set for 10:00a.m., Monday, July 1, 2013 at Lamesa Christian Fellowship with Pastor Gwen Aldridge officiating. Burial will follow at Dawson County Cemetery under the direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
Special chapel services will be held on Saturday and Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Garcia passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2013 at Convenant Medical Center in Lubbock, TX.
She was born on October 26, 1971 in Crosby County, Texas. Felicita married Adam Garcia on August 11, 2000 in Lamesa. Felicita was a correstional officer in Kansas, worked as a cashier at a grocery store and she enjoyed her hobbies of cooking, reading and drawing.
Preceded her in death was her father, Severino DeHayos; her sister, Rachel; her brother, Bobby.
She is survived by her husband, Adam R. Garcia of Lamesa, TX.; her son, Keith Newport of Lamesa, TX.; her mother, Ludin Alaniz of Big Spring, TX; three sisters, Norma DeHayos and Ester DeHayos, both of Big Spring, TX., Norma Lee Herrera of Corpus Christi, TX; four brothers, Rick DeHayos, Victor DeHayos, Pablo DeHayos and JR DeHayos, all of Big Spring, TX.
