ESTEFANA RODRIQUEZ's Obituary
A Catholic funeral mass will be celebrated for Estefana Rodriquez age 82 of Lamesa, TX. at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, September 29, 2025, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Sylvester Osouza officiating. The burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the trusted care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
The viewing will be held at Gonzales Funeral Home on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, September 28, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
Estefana passed away at home in Lamesa, TX. surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, September 25, 2025. She was born on October 29, 1942, in Stanton, TX. Estefana married Samuel T. Rodriquez in July 1959, in Lamesa, TX.
Estefana was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel T. Rodriquez; her son, Joe T. Rodriquez; her two infant daughters, her grandson, Fernando (Ernie) Rodriquez, Jr.; her parents, Jesus and San Juana Moreno; her sisters, Ortensia (Tencha) Rodriquez, Enedelia (Nene) Perez; her brothers, Jessie (Clavo) Moreno, Guadalupe Moreno, Carmelo Moreno, Juan Moreno, Santiago Moreno, Robert (Piky) Moreno.
Estefana enjoyed going to church, going to McDonald’s, and to the Dawson County Senior Citizens Center with her friends. She loved going to the dances. Estefana was loved by so many people.
Estefana is survived by her three sons, Fernando Rodriquez and her daughter-in-law, Jackie Rodriquez of Lamesa, TX., Herman Rodriquez of Midland, TX., and Benito Rodriquez of Lamesa, TX.; her baby sister, Mage Vela and her brother-in-law, tio Roy Vela of Lamesa, TX.; her sister-in-law, Rosa Moreno of Lamesa, TX.; 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grand-daughter; numerous relatives and friends.
Honoring Estefana as her pallbearers are, Ronnie Rodriquez, Joshua Macias, Ivan Rodriquez, Alex Rodriquez, Steven Rodriquez, Eric Rodriquez.
