Funeral services to celebrate the life of Espiririon Alaniz, Jr. age 71 of Welch, TX. will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral arrangements are under the trusted care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
The viewing and visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Gonzales Funeral Home starting at 11:30 a.m., with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m.
Espiririon passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, December 26, 2025, in Lubbock, TX. He was born on December 24, 1954, in Poteet, TX. Espiririon married Juanita Garza on August 10, 1971, in Brownfield, TX.
Espiririon was preceded in death by his parents, Espiririon, Sr., and Jesusa Alaniz; his sister, Cruz Lopez.
Espiririon was a hard-working man, loving husband, dad, and grandfather. He worked as a truck driver in the oil industry for over 50 years. He loved his family and enjoyed fishing.
Espiririon is survived by his wife, Juanita Alaniz of Welch, TX.; his sons, Joe Alaniz (Deborah) of Lubbock, TX., Jerry Alaniz (Chris) of Brownfield, TX., and Nick Alaniz (Debra) of Welch, TX.; his daughter, Jessica (James) Hernandez of Midland, TX.; his granddaughter, Danielle Alaniz of Levelland, TX.; 19 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren; numerous relatives and friends.
