Emma Barrientes' Obituary
Funeral services for Emma Barrientes, age 80 of Lamesa, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, Nobember 9, 2015 at the River of Life Fellowship in Lamesa with Pastor Mike Barkowsky officiating. Burial will follow to Lamesa Memorial Park cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, Texas.
Viewing and visitation will he held on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel with an Inspirational service at 7:00 p.m. On Sunday, November 8, 2015 viewing and visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with an Inspirational service at 7:00 p.m.
Emma passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2015 at her home in Lamesa. She was born on September 29, 1935 in Brownsville, Texas. Emma married Estevan Barrientes on March 25, 1952 in Lamesa. She enjoyed sewing and going to the casino. She loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren.
Emma is survived by her family, her daughters, Pauline Jimenez of Lamesa, Texas and Lupe Estrada of Midland, Texas; her sons, Simon Barrientes of Andrews, Texas, John Barrientes and Jesse Barrientes, both of Midland, Texas, Esteban Barrientes, Jr. of LaPorte, Texas, Emilio Barrientes and Roy Barrientes, both of Lamesa, Texas; 21 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; her brothers, Julio Guerrero of Midland, Texas and Andrew Guerrero of La Porte, Texas; her sisters, Ruth Salazar of La Porte, Texas and Josie Espinosa of Lamesa, Texas; numerous family relatives and friends.
