Funeral services for Elvira A. Hernandez age 61 of Lamesa will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2018 at the church of Templo La Hermosura De Dios with Pastor Geno Salazar officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
Elvira passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2018 in Lubbock. She was born on August 7, 1956 in Lamesa. Elvira married Luis Hernandez on August 7, 1981 in Minnesota.
She was preceded in death by her father Guadalupe Acosta and mother, Mariana Acosta; her brothers, Reynaldo Acosta, Ramon Acosta, Daniel Acosta, and Henry Torres.
Elvira enjoyed dancing, reading Bible scriptures daily, spending time with her precious grandchildren and playing games on her cell phone like "Candy Crush".
Elvira is survived by her husband, Luis Hernandez of Lamesa; her daughter, Adriana Hernandez of Fort Worth, Texas; her sons, Billy Losoya of St. Paul, MN and Domingo Losoya of Lamesa; eleven grandchildren; her brothers, Roberto Acosta of Minnesota and Ruben Acosta of Lubbock, TX.; her sisters, Felipa Acosta of Houston, TX, Gloria Acosta and Eloisa Acoata, both of Lamesa, Adelina Acosta of Oklahoma, Jovita Molina and Lupia Acosta, both of Minnesota; several relatives and friends.
