ELUTERIA M. ( LUPE ) HERNANDEZ's Obituary
A Catholic funeral mass will be celebrated for Eluteria (Lupe) M. Hernandez age 87 of Lamesa at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 5, 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Joseph Kurumbel officiating. Interment will follow to Dawson County Cemetery under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
Visition will be held on Saturday, November 3rd and Sunday, November 4th with Rosary services at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
Eluteria passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 in Lubbock on her journey to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was born on February 21, 1931 in Oakwood, Texas. Eluteria married Esteban G. Hernandez on October 2, 1950 in Dawson County, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Esteban G. Henandez; her daughter, Santos Sorola; her sister, Ramona Lucio; her brother, Henry Billalobos; her mother, Frutosa Billalobos.
Eluteria was a long time member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, she was a house-keeper for 30 years, she enjoyed watching western movies and was a loving mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her children, son, Breezie Hernandez of Lubbock, TX., Stevie Hernandez of Lamesa, TX., daughter, Geneva Hernandez of Lamesa, TX., daughter, Frances Ramirez of Hobbs, NM., son, Francisco Hernandez of Lamesa, TX., daughter, Olivia Ramos of Lamesa, TX.; brother, Thomas Billalobos and her sister, Maria Fernandez, both of Lamesa, TX.; 25 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren.
