ELIZABETH HOPE MRALEZ RESENDEZ's Obituary
Funeral services for Elizabeth Hope Moralez Resendez age 62 of Lamesa, Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 2, 2024, at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Simon Resendez officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the trusted care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
The viewing will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m.
Hope passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, in Odessa, TX. She was born on February 2, 1961, in Cheyenne, WY. Hope married Raul Resendez on May 2, 2001, in Greeley, Colorado.
Hope was preceded in death by her father, Henry Moralez, and her mother, Lupe Perea, and her stepfather, Ruben Perea; sisters, Lee Jane DeLaCruz, and Bonnie Barbier; brother, Henry Lee Moralez, Jr.
Hope was a very loving and blunt person. She cared for those she loved and would move mountains to keep them happy. Hope was a lifelong Broncos fans and an avid lover of all pets, especially her Chihuahua’s. She loved cooking and baking and spending precious time with her family. She was a mother to every person she met, and never turned away a soul in need.
Hope is survived by her husband, Raul Resendez of Lamesa, TX.; her daughter, Dawna Gallegos of Lamesa, TX.; her son, Ricky Sauseda (Raven) of Pleasanton, TX.; grandson, Rogelio Jefferson (Brittany) of Lamesa, TX.; great-granddaughters, Avery Jefferson, Miracle Jefferson, and Kamiyah Jefferson, all of Lamesa, TX.; great-grandson, Marquise Jefferson of Lamesa, TX.; brother, Phillip Moralez of Cheyenne, WY.; sisters, Theodora Sanchez (Tony) of Greeley, Colorado, and Rachel Meeker (Zach) of Cheyenne, WY.; several relatives and friends.
