Chapel funeral services for Efrain U. Maldonado, age 62 of Lamesa, Texas will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ovidio Martinez offiating. Burial will follow to Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonales Funeral Home.
Mr. Maldonado passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2014 in Galveston, Texas. Efrain was born on May 10, 1952 in Seguin, Texas. He married Aida Alaniz on May 10, 1982 in Lovington, New Mexico. Efrain was known as a man who loved his family and was always there for anyone who needed him.
Preceded him in death were his parents, Francisco and Maria U. Maldonado; his brothers, Eliseo U. Maldonado and Daniel Maldonado; his sister, Frances M. Rodriguez.
Efrain is survived by his wife, Aida A. Maldonado of Lamesa, Texas; his son, Efrain A. Maldonado, Jr. of Lamesa, Texas; his daughters, Priscilla A. Maldonado and Yesenia A. Maldonado, both of Lamesa, Texas; his brother, Elias Maldonado of Lamesa, Texas; his sisters, Erlinda Trejo and Rachel DeLeon, both of California and Lydia Lawson of Lubbock, Texas; his grandchildren, Fernando, Francisco and Nayli Sosa, EisaRey Mejia and Jesus and Karely Golden.
