Eddie Gomez Jr's Obituary
A Catholic funeral mass will be celebrated for Eddie Gomez, Jr. of Midland, Texas, at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church of Lamesa, Texas with Father Joseph Kurumbel officiating. Burial will follow to Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday followed by an Inspirational service at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel. On Friday, an Inspirational service will be held at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home.
Eddie passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at Midland Memorial Hospital in Midland, Texas. He was born on June 10, 1985 in Lamesa.
Eddie was preced in death by both his grandmothers, Urbana Cortez and Ninfa Gomez; his grandfather, Lupe Gomez; his great-grandfather, Melquiades Cortez; his uncle Mundo Cortez; his nephew, Aiden Gomez.
Eddie is survived by his loving family, his daughter, Madison Elizabeth Gomez of Lubbock, Texas; his parents, David and Diana Ybarra and also Eddie Gomez, Sr. and Janie Baltazar, all of Lamesa;
his brothers, Joe Gomez and Lora Rodriguez of Midland, Texas, Eric Gomez, Ernest Gomez and Emily Lujan, Steven Cortez, Xavier Cortez, PJ Salazar and Ashley Duran, all of Lamesa, Texas, Matthew and Jessica Ybarra of Midland, Texas; his sisters, Nicole Cortez, Celeste Cortez, Margarita Cortez, Isabel Cortez, Miracle Cortez, Desiree Galindo, all of Lamesa, Texas; his grandfather, Juan Cortez of Lamesa, Texas; his great-grandmother, Teresa Cavazos Cortez of Seminole, Texas; his brocuz's, Gus and Erika Tupas and Becky Cortez, all of San Antonio, Texas, brocuz's Raymond Cortez, Jr. and Cassandra Lucero of Lamesa, brocuz's David and Leann Valdez and Bryan Rodriguez and Ashley Mendez, all of Forth Worth, Texas; his nephews, David Ray Gomez, Kassidy Marie Gomez, Jeremiah Ybarra, Matthew Ybarra, Jr., Zachary Ybarra, Brookly Ybarra, Jacob Cuellar, Jazelle Gomez, Easton Salazar; several aunts and uncles.
