Domingo M. Ruiz's Obituary
A Catholic funeral Mass will be celebrated for Domingo M. Ruiz, age 84 of Lamesa, Texas at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Jim O'Connor officiating. Burial will follow to Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, Texas.
Viewing will be on Monday and Tuesday at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel with Rosary services at 7:00 p.m.
Mr. Ruiz passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2016 in Midland, Texas. He was born on March 31, 1931 in El Mulato, Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico. Domingo married Ramona Ramirez on November 10, 1950 in Mexico.
Domingo was preceded in death by his wife, Ramona Ruiz; his son, Jesus Manuel Ruiz, his parents, Ignacio and Eulaulia Ruiz.
Domingo was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic. He was a farmer until his retirement. Domingo enjoyed daily, spending time with his "coffee friends' at McDonald's and loved to play dominos with his friends daily at the senior citizens center. He was loved by everyone who met him.
Survivors include his sons, Antonio Ruiz and wife, Rosie of Midland, Texas, Raul Ruiz and wife, Lucy of Odessa, Texas, Isidro Ruiz of Lamesa, Texas, Martin Ruiz and wife, Gloria of Seminole, Texas; his daughters, Irma Ruiz and husband, Raul of Waco, Texas, Ramona Escalon of Lubbock, Texas, Dominga Hernandez and husband, Felix of Lamesa, Texas; his brothers, Ignacio Ruiz of Eunice, NM and Ramon Ruiz of Artesia, NM; 22 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren.
