Dolores C. Hernandez's Obituary
A Catholic funeral service Mass will be celebrated for Dolores C. Hernandez, age 72, of O'donnell, Texas at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at St. Jude Catholic Church in Tahoka, Texas with Father Edwardo Teo officiating and asisted by Deacon Simon Resendez. Burial will follow at Nevels Memorial Cemetery in Tahoka, Texas, under the direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, Texas.
Visitation and viewing is set for 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Guajardo Funeral Chapels, located at 407 N. University Ave. in Lubbock, Texas, along with a Rosary service set for 7:00 P.M. on the same night at the funeral home chapel in Lubbock, Texas.
Dolores passed away on Monday, July 8, 2013 in Lubbock, Texas. She was born on January 22, 1941 in New Braunfels, Texas. Dolores married Aurelio Hernandez, Jr. on November 24, 1963.
Dolores was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church in O'donnell, Texas, she was a member of "Las Guadalupanas", she also enjoyed playing Bingo, sewing, cooking and serving her beloved church.
Preceded her in death was her husband, Aurelio Hernandez, Jr.; her parents, Mauricio and Teresa Carrillo; her brother, Antonio V. Carrillo.
Dolores is survived by her daughter, Maria Teresa Hernandez of New Deal, Texas; two sons, Aurelio Hernandez III and Arnelio Hernandez, both of O'donnell, Texas; her daughter-in-law Anita Hernandez of O'donnell, Texas; grand-daughters, Crystal Mecalco and Priscilla Santana, both of New Deal, Texas and Tiffany V. Hernandez of Lubbock, Texas; grandson, Christopher R. Hernandez of O'donnell, Texas; great-grandchild, Qiara Cobbs of New Deal, Texas; four brothers, Joe B. Carrillo, Lupe Carrillo, Juan Carrillo and Reyes (Rey) Carrillo, all of Lubbock, Texas; two sisters, Margarita (Margie) Carrillo and Inez C. Ponce, both of New Deal, Texas.
