DEMETRIO C. MOJICA's Obituary
A Catholic funeral mass service will be celebrated for Demetrio C. Mojica, age 78 of Lamesa, Texas at 11:30 a.m Saturday May 6, 2017 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church of Lamesa, Texas with Father Joseph Kurumbel officiating and assisted by Deacon Daniel Valenzuela. A private family interment graveside service at Dawson County Cemetery will be determinded. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, Texas.
Demetrio passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 2, 2017 in Lamesa, Texas. He was born on December 22, 1938 in Lockhart, Texas. Demetrio married Raquel Estrada on June 30, 1956 in Lamesa, Texas. He was retired professional electrician. Demetrio enjoyed playing Bingo, watching football and baseball. He loved his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Raquel Estrada Mojica; his son, Dean Mojica; his grandson, Chris Soliz; his parents, Wenseldado (Charlie) and Guadalupe Mojica; his brothers, Joe Mojica, Julian Mojica, Santos Mojica.
Demetrio is survived by his loving family, his two daughters, Rachel (BB) Soliz and husband, Joe Soliz of Lamesa, Texas and Dorothy Sauseda and husband, Alex Sauseda of Lamesa, Texas; his two grandsons, Kevin Sauseda and Steven Sauseda, both of Lubbock, Texas; his two grand-daughters, Dia Gonzalez of Keller, Texas and Megan Soliz of Lubbock, Texas; his great-grand-daughter, Natalie Joy Gonzalez of Keller, Texas; his brother, Benjamin Mojica of Houston, Texas; and several family relatives and friends.
