Family and friends will gather for a Memorial service to Celebrate the life of David Marmolejo age 66 of Lamesa, Texas at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 24, 2026, at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel, Funeral arrangements are under the trusted care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
David passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026, in Lamesa, Texas. He was born on January 11, 1960, in Lockhart, Texas.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Rufino Marmolejo, Sr., and Hilaria Marmolejo; his brothers, Rufina Marmolejo, Jr., Nicholas Marmolejo; his niece, Monica Marmolejo; his brother-in-law, Billy Torres, Sr.
David was a loving and kind man who always had a smile on his face. He would help anyone that needed help. He enjoyed so many of his inside and outside plants and feeding the birds. David loved being outside and doing yard work. He loved his Western movies, Cowboys, and listening to some oldies. He loved shopping in the little red car here in town.
David is survived by his son, Bruce Marmolejo and his daughter-in-law, Claudia Ramos, and his grandchildren, Xander Marmolejo, and Camila Marmolejo, all of Lubbock, Texas; his daughter Chasity Marmolejo of Lamesa, Texas; his brother, Raul Marmolejo of Lubbock, Texas; his sisters, Lydia Torres of Clovis, NM, Arlinda Martinez and his brother-in-law Mauro Martinez of Hobbs, NM, Ester Gonzales and brother-in-law, Benito Gonzales of Lamesa, Texas., and Nelda Ramirez of Lamesa, Texas; 2 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
