David passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025, in Lamesa, TX. He was born on April 1, 1980, in Lamesa, TX.
David was preceded in death by sister, Jacqueline Conde; his paternal grandparents, Ben and Fannie Cavazos; his maternal grandparents, Raymond and Pauline Delgado.
David was known for his big heart and unwavering support for his family and determination to live life to the fullest. He loved his family with all his heart, cherishing every moment he spent with them. He truly knew that it was blessing to give rather than to receive. He would give you the shirt off his back if it was all he had, always willing to help at any time of the day. David was known as a hard-working man he had a golden touch in welding, crafting flawless joints with precision and skills. He took pride in everything he did. There was nothing he couldn’t build or fix with his own two hands. Welding was his journey, not just a destination, it was a craft he poured his heart and soul into every day. He was a man of all trades, and if he didn’t how to do something, he would always find a way to figure it out. David truly loved taking his big dog (motorcycle) out for a ride, it was his wind therapy. We always knew he was coming from a mile away when he was on the road. His truck and bike were his pride and joy, second only to his kids and grandson. He was the epitome of cleanliness, smoothness, and perfection in everything he did. He was like no other man, embracing the full potential that the Lord had given him. David also deeply loved his best friend, Andy (dog). Andy was not just David’s best friend; he was his loyal protector, always by his side, providing comfort and security. Together, they shared an unspoken bond, with Andy watching over him and offering a sense of safety. David knew that no matter what the situation was, Andy would always be there, standing guard at the front door.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.
David is survived by his loving family, his son, David B. Cavazos III of Lubbock, TX.; his daughter, Jacqueline (Jackie) Cavazos of Lamesa, TX.; his mother, Ernestina (Dottie) Cavazos, and her husband, Larry Morales, and his father, David Cavazos, Sr., all of Lamesa, TX.; his sisters, Jennifer Cavazos and husband, Julian Vasquez of O’Donnell, TX., and Mandie Lemon and husband, Brian Lemon of Lamesa, TX.; his brothers, Robert Cavazos and wife, Andrea Cavazos of Midland, TX., Ben Cavazos of Lamesa, TX.; his grandson, Damon Cavazos of Lamesa, TX.; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.
