Funeral services for Darlene Lewis age 68 of Lamesa, TX. will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Pastor Ira Kelly officiating. Burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the trusted care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
The viewing will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
Darlene passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024, in Lamesa, TX. She was born on July 18, 1956, in Lamesa, TX.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie Lewis and Verlene Lewis; brothers, Jerry Lewis, and Ray Lewis; sisters, Jannie Jenkins, Juddie Edwards, and Mary Walton.
Darlene was a health care worker. She loved talking to people and she help them anyway she could when she had strength. She was a great Dallas Cowboy fan. Darlene will truly be missed by all those who know her.
Darlene is survived by her son, Tyrone Lewis and daughter-in-law Loretta Perez of Lamesa, TX.; grand-daughter Bella Perez of Lamesa, TX.; sisters, Etta Butler, and Linda Jenkins, both of Lamesa, TX.; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews, and numerous relatives and friends.
