Consuelo "Chelo" Contreras' Obituary
A Catholic funeral service mass will be celebrated for Consuelo "Chelo" Contreras, age 63 of Welch, Texas at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Lamesa, Texas with Father Joseph Kurumbel officiating. Funeral and cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, Texas.
Rosary services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
"Chelo" passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. She was born on November 28, 1959 in Donna, Texas. Conseulo loved her birds and her love her plants.
Consuelo was preceded in death by her faher, Quintin Contreras; her brothers, Edwardo Contreras and Daniel Contreras; his sisters, Francisca Contreras and Olga Contreras.
She is survived by her daughter, Susie de la Rosa and son-in-law, Dolores of Welch, Texas; grand-daughter Jasmin de la Rosa and Mattheu de la Rosa, both of Welch; her mother, Margarita Contreras of Welch; three brothers, Victor Contreras and wife, Diana of Lamesa, Quintin Contreras II and wife Gloria of Lamesa, Jerry Contreras and wife Michelle of Welch; three sisters, Herminia Contreras and Emelia Contreras of Welch and Olga Contreras of Stanton, Texas.
