CHRISTIAN JOSHUA GUZMAN's Obituary
A Catholic Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Christian Guzman, age 23, of Lamesa, TX, at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, with Father Sylvester DSouza officiating. Burial will follow at Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the trusted care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
A viewing will be held at Gonzales Funeral Home on Thursday, February 13, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., and on Friday, February 14, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Rosary prayer services will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on both evenings at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
Christian passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025, in Lamesa, TX. He was born on May 9, 2001, in Lubbock, TX.
Christian was known for his big heart, generous spirit, and unwavering love for his family and friends. He had a deep passion for helping others, always offering a helping hand and a warm smile to those in need. Aside from having a big heart and helping people, he loved dancing, shopping, shoes, and spending time with his family and friends. Christian was a hard worker and took pride in everything he did. He especially enjoyed his mother’s cooking and his father’s homemade salsa. His love for life was evident in the way he cherished his time with family, embraced his friendships, and found joy in the simple moments.
Christian is survived by his loving family: his father, Rick Guzman and his mother, Janie Guzman, both of Lamesa, TX; his brother, Luke Guzman of Lamesa, TX; his sisters, Valerie Hernandez, Malory Trevino, and Daisy Flores, all of Midland, TX; and his brother, Isaac Salazar of Lamesa, TX.
His memory will be forever cherished by those who knew and loved him. Eternal rest grant him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.
