Funeral services for Carmen G. Valdez age 68 of Lamesa, TX. will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday February 21, 2019 at The Faith of God in Christ Church with Pastor Ramiro Lumbreras officiating. Interment will follow to Dawon County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday February 19th and Wednesday February 20th at Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, TX.
Carmen passed away on Sunday February 17, 2019 in Lamesa. She was born on February 9, 1951 in Batesville, TX. Carmen married Florentino Valdez, Jr. on April 9, 1973 in Batesville, TX. She was a homemaker.
Carmen was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio Galindo, Sr. and Maria Louisa Galindo; her sisters, Florinda Ramos and Maria Inez Galindo.
Carmen is survived by her husband, Florentino Valdez, Jr. of Lamesa, TX.; her children, Josie V. Gonzales and husband, Juan of Lamesa, TX., Francisco Valdez and wife, Vivian of Andrews, TX., Felipe Valdez and wife, Sylvia of Lamesa,TX., Veronica Valdez Polvon and husband, Robin of Lamesa, TX., Florentino Valdez III and wife, Dominique of Lamesa, TX.,and JoAnn Valdez of Lamesa, TX.; her brothers, Antonio Galindo, Jr. and Jose Angel Galindo, both of Batesville, TX.; 20 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.numerous relatives and friends.
