BRUNA OLVERA MARTINEZ's Obituary
A Catholic funeral mass service will be celebrated for Bruna Olvera Martinez age 87 of O’Donnell, TX., at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at St. Pius X Catholic Church in O’Donnell, TX., with Father John Steven Rathinam officiating. Burial committal will follow to the O’Donnell Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
Viewing and visitation will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2021, and Friday, November 12, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. A Rosary prayer service will be held on Friday at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
Bruna passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021 in Lamesa, TX. She was born on October 7, 1934 in Three Points, TX. Bruna married Rayman Martinez on October 1, 1975 in Dawson County, TX.
She was preceded in death her husband, Rayman Martinez; her parents, Leo Olvera and Thomasa Quintero Olvera; her grandson, Juan Marcos Morris; her step-son, Johnny Martinez.
Bruna was a Catholic and a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. She was a homemaker, loved to dance and listen to her music. Loved to drink her Corona.
Bruna is survived by her son, Johnny Martinez (Esther Martinez) of Plains, TX.; her daughters, Nancy Morris (Joe Morris) of O’Donnell, TX., and Betty Jane Picasso (Ernest Picasso, Jr).; her grandsons, Ryan Martinez of Seagraves, TX., Christopher Morris of Olympia, WA., Dereck Morris of Omaha, NE., her grand-daughters, Melissa Martinez (Michael Valder) of Plains, TX., Marina Garza of Lubbock, TX.; her great-grandson, Leroy De Los Santos of O’Donnell, TX.; her great-grand-daughter, Alexis De Los Santos; her great-step-grandson, Ernest Picasso III of Dumas, TX.; 8 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; numerous relatives and friends.
