AMELIA ANTUNA's Obituary
A Catholic funeral mass serivce will be celebrated for Amelia Antuna, age 83 of O’Donnell, Texas at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at St. Pius X Catholic Church in O’Donnell Texas with Father John Steven Rathinam officiating. Interment will follow to the O’Donnell Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, Texas.
Viewing will be held on Friday, August 17, 2018 at Gonzales Funeral Home with a Rosary prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel. Viewing on Saturday, August 18, 2108 until 1:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
Amelia passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 in O’Donnell, Texas. She was born on March 3, 1935 in Gillett, Texas. Amelia married Gregorio Antuna on September 26, 1963 in Tahoka, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gregorio Antuna on March 24, 2014; her sons, Manuel Antuna and Abel Montez; her daughter, Margie Antuna.
Amelia enjoyed listening to music, playing Bingo, and most of all smoking and she loved the visits and special moments spent with her grandchildren.
Amelia is survived by her loving family, her daughters, Sylvia Morado and husband, George Morado of O’Donnell, Texas, Yolanda Ramos of Deming, NM, Mary Lou Moralez of Brownfield, Texas, Joann Santos and husband, Samuel Santos, Sr. of O’Donnell, Texas, Erminia Morales and husband, Gabino Morales of O’Donnell, Texas; her sons, Larry Antuna and wife, Norma Antuna of Lubbock, Texas, Gregorio Antuna, Jr. and wife, Dolores Antuna of O’Donnell, Texas; twenty-two grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.
