Memorial services for Alvin Kent (Stumbo) McCurley at 63 of Lamesa, Texas, will be held at 11 a.m.Saturday, April 13, 2019 at St. John Baptist Church, 108 NE 10th Street, in Lamesa. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, Texas.
McCurley died on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at his home in Lamesa. He was born on March 18, 1956 in Lamesa. He graduated from Lamesa High School. In high school, he was named "Mr. Tornadoe". He enjoyed sports, dominoes, and dancing.
Survivors include a daughter, Camelia Hardaway of San Antonio, TX.; a son, Nick Spain of Midland, TX.; sisters, Renee Jackson of Odessa, TX., and Shanna McCurley of Lamesa, TX.; brothers, Harry McCurley of Lubbock, TX., Ricky McCurley of Odessa, TX., and Mart Smith of Midland, TX; and mother, Ossie McCurley of Lamesa, TX; a host of relatives and friends.
