A Catholic funeral mass will be celebrated for infant-child, Aiden Matthew Gomez, age, five weeks old of Lamesa, Texas at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 9, 2013, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Joseph Kurumbl officiating. Burial will follow at Lamesa Memorial Park under the direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
Baby Aiden Matthew Gomez passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2013 in Lamesa. He was born on August 1, 2013 in Lamesa.
Preceded Aiden Matthew in death, his grandfather, Henri Moreno; great-grandparents, Lupe and Ninfa Gomez and Urbana Cortez; great-great-grandfather, Manuel Ramirez.
Survivors include his parents, Katherine Moreno and Eric Gomez of Lamesa; his brother, David Ray Gomez and his sister, Kassidy Marie Gomez, both of Lamesa; grandfather, Eddie Gomez, Sr. of Lamesa; grandparents, Diana Cortez and David Ybarra of Lamesa; maternal grandmother, Esmeralda Moreno of Lamesa; great-grandmother, Rosa Travis of Lubbock; great-great-grandmother, Juanita Moreno of Lubbock, Texas; his uncles, Jose Gomez, Eddie Gomez, Jr., Ernest Gomez, Steven Cortez, Xavier Cortez, Mathew Ybarra, Enrique Moreno, Jr.; his aunts, Gloria Moreno, Isabel Cortez, Miracle Cortez, Nicole Cortez, Celeste Cortez, Margarita Cortez and numerous cousins.
