Funeral services for Aida A. Maldonado age 56 of Lamesa, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 13, 2018 at the church of Templo Elim with Pastor Jesse Hernandez officiating. Interment will follow to Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangments are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funerall Home.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday and Thursday at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
Aida passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2018 in Lamesa. She was born on December 5, 1961 in El Garceno RCH in Star County, Texas. Aida married Efrain Maldonado on May 10, 1982 Lovington, NM.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Efrain U. Maldonado, Sr.; her mother, Paula Rosa; her brothers, David Alaniz, Arturo Alaniz; her sister, Gloria Rosa.
Aida was a caregiver, homemaker and a most loving mother and grandmother.
Aida is survived by her family, her son ,Efrain Maldonado, Jr. and Trishia; her daughters, Priscilla Maldonado and Alex Mejia, Jr. and Yesenia Maldonado, all of Lamesa, Texas; grandchildren by their "nick-names", Nano, Keke, Chapo, Mamasite, Renya, Baby Alex, Frye, La Gorda; her brother, Pedro Alaniz, Jr. of Hobbs, NM; her sisters, Lupe Serna of Roma, Texas, Angie Alaniz and Maribel Alaniz, both of Hobbs, NM, Adela Sanchez of El Garceno, Texas, Graciela Velasquez of El Paso, Texas; her god-daughter, Erica Sepulveda of Hobbs, NM; several relatives and friends.
