Funeral Services for Agapito (Tio Nail) M. Lopez age 67 of Lamesa, TX. will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel with Pablo Lopez, Jr. officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the trusted care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
The viewing will be held on Monday, February 12, 2024, at Gonzales Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary prayer service at 6:00 p.m.
Agapito passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024, in Lubbock, TX. He was born on January 13, 1957, in Lamesa, TX. Agapito married Brenda Lozano on July 14, 2001, in Lamesa, TX.
Agapito was preceded in death by his parents, Agapito Lopez, Sr., and Virginia Lopez; brother, Henry Lopez, Sr.; sister, Mary Lopez.
Agapito enjoyed staying busy, handy man, sleeping, dancing. Agapito and his son J.J. both enjoyed listening to old school music and drinking cold beer, and with his son, Mark, Agapito enjoyed traveling to new places and fishing. He liked lottery tickets, loved cooking with Marianna, watching football games especially the Dallas Cowboys, and with his son Jonathan they used to go do yards together and odd jobs and afterwards they would sit outside together and drink a beer while listening to music under the patio, and with his son Ryan looking up interesting things on Google for him, liked cats and dogs, spending time with family and friends, and was holding on to his “flip-phone”. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great friend to so many.
Agapito is survived by his family, his wife, Brenda Lozano Lopez of Lamesa, TX.; his sons, J.J. Lopez and wife, Rosie of Kempner, TX., Mark A. Lopez and wife, Dawn of Odessa, TX., Ryan Lopez, and Jonathan Lopez of Lamesa, TX.; grandchildren, Vivica Lopez, Jasmine Lopez, Marcus Lopez, Mariana Lopez, Justin, Hannah, Danielle, Logan; sister, Delfina Lopez; brothers, Joe Lopez, Martin Lopez, Ray Lopez, David Lopez, Lupe Lopez; numerous relatives and friends.
