LUDI JENA "JANE" GARZA's Obituary
A Catholic funeral mass will be celebrated for Ludi Jena “Jane” Garza age 60 of Lamesa, TX., at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 11, 2022 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Fr. Chacko Thadathil officiating. Burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
Viewing and visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., and Thursday, November 10, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., with a Holy Rosary prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
Jane passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 in Lubbock, TX. She was born on March 17, 1962 in Lamesa, TX. Jane married Adam Garza on August 1, 1980 in Lamesa, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro Barrioz, Sr. and Amelia Barrioz; her siblings, Mary Lou Hernandez, Pedro Barrioz, Jr., and Raymond Barrioz.
Jane was the sweetest and generous, and most caring person. She never hesitated to lend a helping hand. If you ever needed her, she was always there! She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church and Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Jane was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, sister, and Tia to numerous nieces, nephews. She was a great friend to many in the community. She loved to cook and plan many events for her family. Jane loved making memories with her beloved family. She loved spending time outdoors, being the rivers and lakes. Jane loved listening to music and especially when her husband Adam played his guitar for her. The BEST times of her life were with her beautiful grandchildren.
Jane is survived by her family, her husband, Adam Garza, Sr. of Lamesa, TX.; his sons, Adam Garza, Jr. and wife, Reyna of Lamesa, TX., and Alejandro Garza and wife, Jade of Lubbock, TX.; her sisters, Jolanda Lopez and husband, Mario, Alicia McKnight and husband, Randy, Elizabeth “Chavela” Barrioz and husband, Gilbert Molina, all of Lamesa, TX., and Marivel Medina and husband, Juan of Kerrville, TX.; her half-brother, Pete Barrios and wife, Mary of San Antonio, TX.; 3 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
