JUAN PAIZ SR.'s Obituary
Graveside funeral services for Juan Paiz, Sr., age 86 of Lubbock, TX., and formerly of Lamesa, TX., will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 4, 2021, at the Dawson County Cemetery. Officiating will be Mr. Trinidad Sanchez. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home. Due to area Covid-19 situations we continue with public safety for the family and our community, face masks and social distancing are required for the funeral home and cemetery.
Visitation and viewing will be held on Sunday, January 3, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., at Gonzales Funeral Home.
Juan passed away on Monday, December 21, 2020 in Lubbock, TX. He was born on April 8, 1934 in George West, TX. Juan married Seferina Colunga on February 11, 1954 in George West, TX.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Seferina Colunga Paiz on October 15, 2018.
Juan is survived his sons, Juan Paiz, Jr., Jimmy Paiz, and Jessie Paiz, all of Lubbock, TX., Valentin Paiz of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Adolfo Paiz of Geroge West, TX., Trino Paiz, and Ricky Paiz, both of Sundown, TX., Martin Paiz of Melissa, TX., and Joe Paiz of Smyer, TX.; his daughters, Andrea Lara of Tahoka, TX., Geneva Mendez, Nora Paiz, and Maricella Paiz, all of Lubbock, TX., and Connie Escobedo of Littlefield, TX.; 34 grandchildren, 90 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren; several relatives and friends
