Funeral services for Vicente C. Vasquez age 65 of Lamesa, TX. will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday October 23, 2020 at the church La Roca with Pastor Liboryo Iglesias officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home. Facial masks are required at the funeral home and church. Due to the current area Covid-19 situation we continue to practice public safety measures. Viewing and visitation will be held at Gonzales Funeral Home on Wednesday October 21, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., and 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday October 22, 2020 with Inspirational Services at 7:00 p.m. Vicente passed away on Monday October 19, 2020 in Lubbock, TX. He was born on April 5, 1955 in Runge, TX. Vicente married Juana Zuniga on January 1, 2009 in Lamesa. He was preceded in death by his parents, Faustino Vasquez, Sr. and Isidra Vasquez; son, Vicente Vasquez, Jr.; grandson, Jesse Joe Vasquez, Jr.; great-grand daughter, Ayva Vasquez; brothers, Jesse Vasquez, and Ray Vasquez; sister, Juana Sanchez. Vicente loved planting watermelons, pumpkins, and vegetables on his farm. He enjoyed cooking for everyone, and he loved all of his family. He always helped anyone in need. Vicente is survived by his wife, Juana Vasquez of Lamesa, TX.; his sons, Leroy Vasquez, Sr., Billy Vasquez, Sr. and wife, Susana, Jesse Joe Vasquez, Sr., and wife Naida, Alejandro Vasquez, Nathaniel Vasquez, and Ray Vasquez, all of Lamesa, TX.; his daughters, Jennifer Sistos and husband Ruben of Ackerly, TX., and Lupe Olvera of Lamesa, TX.; his brothers, Joe Vasquez, Faustino Vasquez, Jr., Frank Vasquez, all of Lamesa, TX., and Ruperto Vasquez of Austin, TX.; his sisters, Rosa Perez of Lamesa, TX., and Gloria V. Garcia of Menard, TX.; 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; numerous relatives and friends.
