A Catholic funeral mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Robert Anthony Barrera age 42 of Lamesa, TX., at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 18, 2022 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Chacko Thadathil officiating. Burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home. Viewing will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home with a Rosary prayer service staring at 7:00 p.m., followed by an Inspirational Service with Pastor Jeremiah Aguayo. Robert Anthony passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2022 in Lamesa. He was born on September 12, 1979 in Lamesa. Robert Anthony and Tracy Maricas started a new family life together on March 31, 2021 in Lamesa. Robert Anthony was preceded in death his maternal grandparents, Raymond Delgado, Sr., and Pauline Delgado; his paternal grandparents, Fernando and Adelia Barrera; his cousin, Jeremiah Delgado; 6 uncles. Robert Anthony was a hard working man working in the oilfields for many years. He loved spending time with his children, nieces, nephews, relatives. He enjoyed fishing and riding his four wheeler. Robert Anthony loved calling everyone on the phone just to hear their voice and to know what they were doing. Robert Anthony is survived by his wife, Tracy Macias of Lamesa, TX.; his daughters, Marryna Barrera and Maddyson, both of San Antonio, TX.; his sons, Kameron Barrera and Roman Barrera, both of Lamesa, TX.; his mother, Janie Gonzales of Lamesa, TX.; his father, Eddie Barrera, Sr. of Big Spring, TX.; his brother, Eddie Barrera, Jr. of Lamesa, TX.; his sisters, Jatonya Barrera, Evette Barrera, Loretta Barrera, all of Lamesa, TX., and Janie Barrera Rendon of Midland, TX.; and Patricia Carrasco, the mother of their two daughters, Marryna and Maddyson; numerous relatives and friends.
