A Catholic funeral mass service will be celebrated for Rachel Strugeon age 65 of Lamesa, TX., at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Chacko Thadathil officiating. Burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home. Viewing and visitation will be held on Friday, January 7, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary prayer service at 7:00 p.m., at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel. Rachel passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022 in Midland, TX. She was born on July 15, 1956 in Bryan, Ohio. Rachel is preceded in death by her parents, Andres and San Juana Gonzales. Rachel enjoyed coloring, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren. Rachel is survived by her sons, Thomas Marroquin of Lubbock, TX., Amador Marroquin, Ruben Marroquin, Jacob Marroquin, Juan Marroquin, and Billy (Chuy) Strugeon, all of Lamesa, TX.; her daughters, Maria Marroquin of Arlington, TX., Iris Marroquin, and Pearl Ann Cortez, of California; 30 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren; numerous relatives and friends.
