    July 11, 2016 - December 5, 2016

    Funeral services for Carlota Ybarra Salazar, known as "Coy" by her family and friends, age 75 of Lamesa, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at the Lighthouse Community Center located at 1013 North 2nd Street, Lamesa. Burial will follow to Lamesa Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, Texas. Viewing will be held on Thursday and Friday at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel, Carlota went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 5, 2016 in Lubbock, Texas. She was born thev youngest of 13 siblings on July 11, 1941 in Engleside, Texas to Carlos Torres Ybarra and Inez Sierra Vasquez. Carlota was united in marriage to her one and only love, Raynald Moreno Salazar on December 7, 1963 in Lamesa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raynaldo Moreno Salazar of 35 years in 1998; her parents; her 11 siblings, Juana Jimenez, Isidra Diaz, Inez Gonzales, Thomasa Flores, Isabell Martinez, Francisco Ybarra, Jesus Ybarra, David Ybarra, Carlos Ybarra, Jr., baby Lupe Ybarra, Lupe Moreno. Carlota was an expert seamstress having worked at the Dotty Dan local sewing factory of that time for many years. She served her church Primera Baptist Church as a bible teacher, youth mininster and choir. Ray and Coy served together for many years on the River Ministry and as directors for several years. After Ray passed away she became a local christian Radio DJ where she found her mission to serve God and community. She loved praying for all her family and anyone in need. She was everyone's favorite aunt and everybody was her favorite. Carlota is survived by her loving family, her three sons, Gabriel Salazar and wife, Feranie, Reynaldo Salazar, Jr. and wife Deeanna, all of Lamesa, Texas, Eric Salazar and wife Fealicia of Hesperas, New Mexico; her brother, Santos Vasquez Ybarra and wife Aurora of Lamesa, Texas; her grandchildren, Roman G. Salazar of Lubbock, Texas, Breanna C. Hernandez and husband Alvaro of Midland, Texas, Lanora Rae Salazar of Midland, Texas, Clarissa N,. Salazar, Joshua A. Medrano and wife Jeniffer, Joseph A. Medrano, Jamie A. Medrano and wife Krystella of Lamesa, Texas, Isabella V. Salazar, Trinity C. Salazar, Ramona G. Salazar, Kylie F. Salazar; her great-grandchlidren, Kynzie, Elliott, Chole, Eli, Daniel, Marley; and several generations of nieces and nephews.
