EVA MEZA LONGORIA

Eva Meza Longoria passed away peacefully in her home in Lamesa on Saturday, June 14, 2025, with her loving children by her side. Services for Eva will include a viewing at Gonzales Funeral Home in Lamesa, TX. on Friday, June 20, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary prayer service starting at 6:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will occur at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the trusted care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home. Eva was born April 3, 1931, in Rio Hondo, TX. to Antonio Ratliffe Meza and Carmen Alvarez Meza. She met her husband, Manuel Gonzalez Longoria II in La Feria, TX. at her family’s business. Manuel was immediately taken by her beauty and swore to marry her at first sight. Eva loved dancing with Manuel and spent many years “putting her head on his shoulders”, as stated by her favorite song. Eva never left the house without being glamorous and loved her nails done. She was always a lady. She loved classic movies with The Man from Snowy River and Imitation of Love being her favorites. In her later years, Eva mastered the art of Facebook and loved posting, messaging, and keeping up with her family online as well as in person or via FaceTime. Throughout her life, Eva woke every morning and opened her front door to welcome the Lord into her home. She continuously prayed for her family and friends who still remain covered by her prayers to this day. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Manuel Gonzalez Longoria II, her son, Robert Rosales, and her daughters, Leticia Longoria and Norma Saldivar. Eva is survived by her children, Joe Abel Rosales of Plainview, TX., Maria Guadalupe Rosales Bindrich of Colorado Springs, CO., Ramiro (Linda) Rosales of O’Donnell, TX., Raul (Ruby) Rosales of Windcrest, TX., Eva Lee (Guillermo) Ledesma of Raymondville, TX., Sandra Longoria of Lamesa, TX., Manuel (Julie) Longoria of Abilene, TX., Joe Ed (Kathy Ramsey) Longoria of Lubbock, TX.; 27 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, and 30 great-great-grandchildren; numerous relatives and friends. May she forever rest in peace.
